Wetspace Noise Drips 4.0 [2-4 Jan]

Experimental sound, noise, and multichannel sonic practices return to Mattancherry. Wetspace Noise Drips 4.0 brings DIY electronics, custom synthesizers, and cross-disciplinary performance across three days at Forplay Society.

Over three editions, Wetspace has grown through collaborative methods—testing, rehearsing, and shaping ideas collectively. This fourth iteration brings together artists working with DIY electronics, custom synthesizers, site-responsive sound, and cross-disciplinary performance.

About

Wetspace Noise Drips 4.0 is an evolving platform dedicated to experimental sound, noise, and multichannel sonic practices, hosted by Cynk Collective. By setting up a multichannel system, they open a shared space where rehearsing, composing, and performing unfold fluidly.

This year brings together artists working with DIY electronics, custom synthesizers, computer-based systems, site-responsive sound, cross-disciplinary performance, and photography.

Introducing Walkin Lab

Alongside Wetspace 4.0, Cynk Collective introduces Walkin Lab: A Multidisciplinary Collaborative Lab—a new 10-day program expanding Wetspace into a holistic ecosystem of learning, building, collaborating, and performing together.

The Lab brings together 8+ artists from diverse practices including VR, AI, electronics, coding, sculpture, and performance. It functions as:

  • A peer-learning space where artists learn from one another through doing
  • A community-building platform through dialogue and practice
  • A living gallery where anyone can walk in, witness the process, and engage
  • A space in constant flux, where ideas develop through shared practice
