Aspinwall House

Established in 1867 by English trader John Hutchison Aspinwall, this waterfront estate served as the headquarters for Aspinwall & Co., a powerhouse in the spice & coir trade. The current structures were rebuilt in 1890 following a devastating fire and later came under the ownership of the Travancore Royal Family in the 1970s. Today, it has transitioned from a colonial commercial hub into the primary venue for Biennale, celebrated for its sprawling warehouses and historic sea-facing bungalow.
