Pandhal Café & Deli

In the grounds of David Hall, opposite the Parade Ground.

Pandhal Café & Deli is a café in the grounds of David Hall, opposite Fort Kochi’s Parade Ground.

It is open from 8am to 10.30pm every day. Indoor and outdoor tables are both available, and fans sit near almost every outdoor table. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all served, with a dessert display on show.

Visitors mention the red velvet, the chocolate doughnut and the cream cheese bun from that display. One found the main menu expensive and the desserts cheaper. Others order the English breakfast, the fish and chips, the ham and cheese puff and a pork sausage pizza.

Cakes are sold by weight, in 500g, 850g and 900g sizes, alongside sausage rolls and wraps. Service is a little slow at busy times, one visitor says, though the staff are courteous.
