Mattancherry Water Metro Station
Twenty-five minutes to High Court, from a jetty beside Jew Town.
Mattancherry Water Metro Station is a boat terminal built on water near the Dutch Palace, with boats to High Court. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan opened it on 11 October 2025, and it is the Mattancherry stop on the route from High Court. The Paradesi Synagogue and Jew Town are a short walk away.
The boats are electric hybrids and carry either 50 or 100 passengers. They run at about 8 knots on battery and 10 knots in hybrid mode, and the batteries recharge in 10 to 15 minutes while passengers board. Across the network, boats come every 15 minutes at peak hours and every 10 to 20 minutes at other times.
The station lists its hours as 7.20am to 7.30pm on weekdays and 8.10am to 7.30pm on Saturday and Sunday. The fare to High Court is 40 rupees. The Kochi Metro One card works on boats and trains, and the Kochi One app issues a QR ticket. The minimum fare on the network is 20 rupees.
