Loafers Corner Cafe
The upstairs balcony looks down on the street.
Loafers Corner Cafe is a café on Princess Street in Fort Kochi, open 9am to 10pm every day.
Prices run from ₹200 to ₹400. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all served, and you can take food away. The room is large and light, with an outdoor garden beside the tables inside.
The menu is mostly sandwiches, burgers and pasta. Visitors order the beef cheese sandwich, the caramel beef burger and the creamy garlic chicken pasta. Sandwiches and burgers come with tapioca chips, and one visitor would have preferred potato chips because the tapioca is hard. Much of the menu is chicken and beef, and one vegetarian visitor found the choice limited.
The first-floor window seats overlook the street. One visitor sat there with a mushroom omelette and a hot coffee before walking on to the nearby churches. Food can take 30 minutes or more. One visitor waited that long, and another, in a large group, waited a while.
