About

Remains of a home explores the interrelations between memory, identity, and space in a context of rapid urban transformation. The work confronts tensions between growing cities, infrastructure projects, and the intimate losses experienced by individuals in the name of progress.

Drawing from his own experience of losing a home to a road expansion project, Aadil explores how objects, architectural remnants, and everyday structures hold memory. Personal rupture becomes a lens for broader questions of displacement and land rights.

What remains? What can be claimed? The answers, this work suggests, are more fragile than we imagine.
