Beach
Valappu Beach (also called Falcon Beach)
Quiet sand with drying fishing nets, no stalls, no gate.
A quiet stretch of sand near the south end of Vypin Island, also called Falcon Beach, with fishing nets drying on poles and boats pulled up on the shore. No stalls, hawkers, or entry gate — bring water and food. Reach it by the Vypeen ferry from Fort Kochi followed by a short auto ride. Bird walks and other activities may be seasonal; check locally before planning around one. The beach is free, open all hours, and known for solitude; no lifeguards, changing rooms, or shops. Parking available near the access road.
