Sri Krishna Café

Sri Krishna Café is a South Indian vegetarian café on Palace Road in Mattancherry, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It opens at 8am and shuts at 9.30pm, every day of the week. Prices are low, and it also serves tea, coffee and dessert.

Visitors recommend the masala dosa and the chana bhatura as the dishes to order. One visitor describes the interior as old, with limited maintenance. The air-conditioned section is not always working, and one visitor found the non-AC area uncomfortable in April. At rush hours there can be a few minutes’ wait for a table.

Parking nearby is hard to find. One visitor in August 2026 found the chutney tasted off, the tea weak and the coffee too strong, and said the quality had dropped from earlier visits.
