Sree Veera Venkateshwara Temple

A Venkateshwara temple open from morning to midnight.

A single-story house with a blue and white facade stands behind a paved courtyard. A set of brick steps leads up to a white metal gate with decorative scrollwork, flanked by white pillars and a low wall painted white with blue trim. To the left of the steps, an orange post box is mounted on a red post against the wall. A dark-colored vehicle is parked on the right side of the frame. A tall palm tree rises behind the house on the left, and overhead wires cross the pale sky. White chalk drawings are visible on the paving stones in the foreground.

A Hindu temple in Mattancherry dedicated to Venkateshwara. Its doors stay open unusually long, from 8 AM to 11:50 PM daily, and it serves the community for whom this part of the old town has been home for generations.
