Kayees Rahmathulla Cafe is a biryani restaurant on Gujarati Road in Mattancherry, open daily from 11am to 3.30pm.
The choice is short. On one visit the only biryani on offer was chicken or mutton. Visitors also order the chicken fry, which one reviewer describes as spicy, with whole red chillies fried in.
Come early. One reviewer found the mutton gone by 1pm, and another says many dishes sell out after 2pm. Another reviewer paid under Rs 200 for a full meal, where they expected Rs 300 to 350 elsewhere in Fort Kochi. The room is small and plain, one visitor says.
