About

Known and Unknown is a two-channel video installation paired with paintings that explores the fundamental entanglement between the visible and invisible forces of nature. Soil itself acts as the shared ground, blurring boundaries between human and natural worlds.

One channel presents abstract phenomena inspired by celestial and microbial forms—making visible the subtle processes of life like breathing and decay that we take for granted. The second unfolds a surreal landscape where tangible and intangible converge.

Through shifting animated surfaces, Harshal invites contemplation on existence while subtly satirizing the absurdity of human desire measured against nature's vast, sustaining, unsettling power.
